Makaila’s parents must be SO proud of her (‘Tillamook for Love forms on the spur of the moment during impromptu demonstration,’ Wednesday, May 20). A student who has the courage to stand up to this kind of ignorance and bigotry has a fulfilling life ahead of her.
These dinosaurs who use the old testament to justify their bigoted and hateful behavior are thankfully becoming history with a minority now who insist on clinging to their ignorance out of hatefulness and fear.
